Terms of service

1. About us

Lumio operates the website shopatlumio.com and sells printed books to customers internationally. The site and store are operated by Lumio, registered in Singapore, a sole proprietorship operated by Tony Stark, with a contact address at Malibu Drive and contact email caydinsujith@gmail.com.

By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order. By ordering you confirm you meet this requirement and that the payment method used is lawfully yours.

3. Products

We sell printed books. Product images, mock-ups and descriptions are provided to help you understand what you are buying. Cover finishes, paper stock and trim size may vary slightly between print runs.

We describe our products as accurately as we can. Books are informational material only. Nothing we sell is medical, psychological, financial or legal advice, and no book we sell is a substitute for professional support.

4. Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email acknowledges receipt but does not form a contract. The contract forms when we confirm dispatch.

We may decline or cancel an order — before or after confirmation — where:

  • the item is unavailable or the listing contained a pricing or description error;
  • we cannot verify payment or the payment is declined or reversed;
  • the delivery address is outside the regions we serve;
  • we reasonably suspect fraud or a breach of these Terms.

If we cancel an order you have already paid for, you receive a full refund. That is our only liability in that situation.

5. Pricing and payment

Prices are shown in USD and include applicable taxes unless stated at checkout. Prices may change at any time, but changes do not affect orders already confirmed.

Payment is taken at checkout via our payment providers. We do not store your full card details.

You may be charged import duties, taxes or customs fees on delivery, depending on your country. These are set by your government, are not included in our prices, and are your responsibility. See our Shipping Policy.

6. Delivery

Delivery times, regions and costs are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

7. Returns and refunds

Your rights are set out in our Refund and Return Policy, which forms part of these Terms and includes statutory rights that apply in your country.

8. Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, images, layout, logos and design — is owned by us or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not copy, reproduce, republish or exploit it commercially without our written permission.

The books we sell are protected by copyright held by their publishers or authors. Buying a copy gives you the right to read it. It does not give you the right to reproduce, scan, distribute, resell in digital form, or create derivative works from it.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this site to break the law, to interfere with its operation or security, to scrape or harvest data by automated means, or to submit content that is unlawful, abusive or infringing.

10. Third-party links

We may link to third-party sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, policies or practices.

11. Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Books are sold for general information and personal interest. Outcomes from applying anything described in a book depend on the reader and their circumstances, and we make no promise of any particular result.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for breach of any statutory consumer guarantee.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of opportunity.

This limitation does not apply where the law of your country does not permit it. In particular, it does not limit the rights of consumers in Australia under the Australian Consumer Law, in the United Kingdom under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or in the European Union under applicable consumer legislation.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The version in force when you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction.

This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, or of the right to bring proceedings in your local courts where that law gives you it.
